An Australian man devoted to helping people cope
with chronic pain, debilitating illness and aggressive cancer has been
sentenced to 12 months’ jail. Tony Bower’s medical marijuana concoctions are
hailed by patients and their families as miraculous. But the legal
system has branded him a criminal, worthy of a jail sentence.
Sun (men (an Australian man)) sextile Ceres (caring, children, comfort, herbs) trine Bienor (benefactors (modern day hero)). Vesta (health (transformed chronically ill children with appalling quality of life into kids with a future)) conjunct Deucalion (understanding the flow (tides of life), magic, (miracle)).
“He’s a modern-day hero (Bienor) and he’s saving our children’s lives,” says mother Kerry Fredericks.
Bower’s cannabis elixir has transformed chronically ill children with appalling quality of life into kids with a future.
“Tara’s walking; she’s running; she’s toilet-trained,” says mother Cheri O'Connell. “They’re all things we never imagined were possible.”
Tara O'Connell used to have up to 200 seizures a day. In 17 months she hasn’t had one. Her saviour pleaded guilty to cultivating marijuana.
He named each one of the plants after the name of a child he helped. He knew it was only a matter of time before the law intervened.
“I suppose the court can only rule on the law,” says Bower.
The judge described Bower as a villain preying on the hopes and innocence of young families.
Medical marijuana is banned in all states across Australia. But recently there has been a push to decriminalise it. Recent polls show 90 percent of Australians want the law changed.
“Basically [they’re] taking medicine away from the children that need it,” says Ms Fredericks.
Bower isn’t behind bars yet; he’s appealing and was given bail.
