Stunning albino sisters from Kazakhstan take social media by storm

Fourteen-year-old Aselya Kalaganova and her younger sister Camilla have always attracted a lot of attention in their native Kazakhstan because of their unique beauty.  However, it wasn’t until the sisters opened an Instagram account that the pair started to gather wider attention.

Albion (albinos) conjunct Uranus (social awareness (“people were very surprised by the fact that I am an albino. Many people don’t even know who albinos are”)). 

“Before we used to somehow take photos ourselves when we just started, but now we have received many offers from photographers so we go on shoots very often,” she said.

The elder sister recalled that from a young age she loved to pose for the camera.

“When she wasn’t there I took photos alone. When my sister was born we received much more attention,” Aselya explained.

Due to problems with her vision, Aselya was enrolled in a specialised school from first to fifth grade. After that, the girl was transferred to a regular school.

“People were very surprised by the fact that I am an albino. Many people don’t even know who albinos are.”

Aselya admitted that being different was not always easy and at times she simply wanted to “blend in” with others.

Nonetheless, she has learned to appreciate her condition. In future the young woman intends to pursue her modelling career, and also to become a journalist.

Her account on Instagram currently has around 24,000 subscribers.
