Spain: Police rescue dolphin stranded on beach in Almeria

Police officers rescued a stranded dolphin on Las Olas beach, Almeria, on Thursday. The animal was found by a local resident, who called the police and told them that it was not able to return to the sea on its own.

According to police sources, the animal was a two-metre-long female suffering from respiratory failure. The cetacean was transferred to a marine animal recovery facility in Almerimar, El Ejido.
