After two years of COVID restrictions, the Chamayavilakku festival is back in Kerala, India. Attendees dress as women, carry traditional lamps, and walk in procession to honour deities and give blessings to the people.
Mercury (self-expression of all kinds) square Varda (blessings, incantations intended as blessings to self and others). Vesta (cultural values, known as the "keeper of the flame") conjunct Chariklo (social boundaries, especially those of a cross gender or sexual nature (men dressing up as women during a special ritual)) square Zhulong (torches, lanterns (holding a lamp with five wicks)).
