Priest Image, Ethiopia

A priest in Ethiopia reads a pre-King James Bible by candlelight during an all-night prayer vigil. “His head would bob up and down as he went in and out of sleep,” writes photographer Neil Thomas, a Your Shot member. “Occasionally, in the silence of the 11th-century rock-hewn church, I would hear his whispers of prayer.”
