The Clock of the Long Now

Inventor Danny Hillis is working with a team of futurists and engineers to build the 10,000 Year Clock, a multimillennial timekeeper. Designed as a symbol of long-term thinking, the formidable piece will be assembled and housed in a mountain in West Texas.
